CLM Gulf Coast Maintenance Services has origins as a commercial cleaning company in the Sarasota, Venice and Lakewood Ranch area dating back to 1992, when owner Matt Perhac was hired to assist in the post-construction cleaning of Laurel-Nokomis School, Gocio Elementary School and Johnson Middle School for a local contractor doing cleaning and janitorial service.
After graduating from Venice High School in 1993, Matt began posting flyers on local bulletin boards in the area and posting ads in the newspaper for cleaning and janitorial services (CLM became an acronym) and started building a local clientele, which continued in Gainesville, FL. while he attended the University of Florida.
Matt returned to the Sarasota area in 1997 with a degree in Public Relations from the University of Florida and started working at a local bank as an investment manager trainee, while taking on a part-time job as a night supervisor with a national cleaning company. He also maintained his own clientele for professional cleaning services in Venice, Sarasota and Lakewood Ranch.
Matt took a position as a Sales and Marketing Manager for a national cleaning company in 2005 and became the Operations Manager in 2008. Janitorial contracts that were established and managed by Matt for this company included Comcast Cable, Easter Seals, New College of Florida and Sarasota Memorial Hospital.
In 2013, Matt, along with his wife, father and a couple of long-time trusted colleagues established CLM Gulf Coast Maintenance Services. While we strive to achieve steady growth and profitability, our primary goal is adhering to our old fashioned work-ethic and integrity and staying on the cutting edge in products, equipment and efficiency.
